The Certificate II in General Education for Adults provides skill development in reading, writing and numeracy, it assists students with study preparation, to meet personal needs, facilitate participation in the community, or within the workplace. The course assists in developing further training and vocational pathways and preparation for employment. There is also a strong emphasis on improving self-confidence.

During the Certificate II in General Education for Adults you will learn to:

  • read, interpret, evaluate and create a range of texts
  • apply knowledge of everyday and formal numeracy in a range of contexts
  • apply skills to meet your personal needs
  • assess and facilitate your participation in the workplace, and in further education and training
  • conduct a project
  • investigate pathways
  • develop, implement and review a learning plan
  • create a portfolio for study or employment.

Upon completion students can look forward to further study and improved employment conditions.
