REFUNDS

 

Fees refund policy


The refund of a course tuition fee and student services and amenities fee for cancellations is made by cheque only and may take up to two weeks to process. A refund of fee is actioned by the Student Administration Co-ordinator on the following basis:

  • The Technology Institute of Victoria cancels the course
  • At the General Manager or Administration Managers discretion
  • Course cancellation by the Student
  • In the event of closure of the Technology Institute of Victoria

Where a student cancels:

  • In order to take up a place at another tertiary institution, a full refund of tuition and student services and amenities fees paid is made, provided that the student notifies the Technology Institute of Victoria in writing or in person within two weeks of the commencement of the course. Documentary evidence providing proof pertaining to the offer of a place at another tertiary institution is required.
  • Where a student cancels enrolment for any other reason, provided that the student notifies the Technology Institute of Victoria in writing within two weeks of commencement of their course with Technology Institute of Victoria, a full refund of the tuition and student services and amenities fees less the minimum tuition fee, is made. If a student does not commence training on the due date the enrolment fee will be allocated to the new start date or refunded at the General Managers or Administration Managers discretion.
  • Where a student cancels enrolment later than four weeks after commencement of the course no refund of fee is made.
